Email Marketing and Social Media with Rival Fitness
Email marketing is a powerful tool for businesses, and Rival Fitness is no exception. As one of the top full-service gyms in Seattle, Rival Fitness offers a wide range of fitness options, from personal training to small group training and open gym access.
Since 2018, I have designed and developed hundreds of email communications to support various stages of the customer journey. These emails include messages for online store advertisements, drip marketing campaigns, monthly newsletters, and transactional emails throughout the website.
All of the emails I create are responsive, meaning they are optimized for viewing on any device. In collaboration with our marketing team, we have consistently exceeded our benchmarks for high open and click rates while maintaining low bounce rates. Our focus has always been on providing strong customer engagement and fostering loyalty.
Creating effective email campaigns requires a combination of speed and quality. When I first started working with Rival Fitness, we were using Constant Contact and a third-party marketing company, but we found that their emails were not aligning with the gym's brand and were not particularly successful. As a result, I built a cohesive email system from the ground up using Adobe Dreamweaver and Frederick via Mindbody. This allowed us to create emails that were more effective and better aligned with the brand.
Social Media Posts
Social media marketing is a critical component of any modern business's marketing strategy. At Rival Fitness, we have had success with our email campaigns, but our social media presence, particularly on Instagram, was lagging. Our engagement was down due to poor-quality pictures and wordy posts that didn't resonate with our clients.
To improve our social media presence, we focused on personalizing the experience for our clients. This included using more videos featuring our trainers and curating our imagery to be more cohesive from a branding standpoint. We also made sure to use our colors, logo, and verbiage consistently across all of our posts.
These changes had a noticeable impact on our social media performance. We saw an increase in viewership and clicks to our website and Mindbody profiles, which helped drive more traffic and engagement. By focusing on personalization and consistency, we were able to improve our social media marketing efforts and better connect with our clients.
Overall I've been able to create and follow a system with both my email marketing and social media posts.
